Health is the aim of policies and actions by the EU Member States. EU Member States have the main responsibility for health policy and for the provision of healthcare to EU citizens. http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/portal/page/portal/eurostat/home 3 6 1 30/08/2022 Rights of EU citizens to establish themselves or to provide services anywhere in the EU EU rules guarantee the mutual recognition of professional qualifications between Member States. These rules are: - Harmonisation of training requirements - Automatic recognition of professional qualifications http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/portal/page/portal/eurostat/home 7 10 The EU Working Time Directive (EWTD): Set of regulations concerning hours of work, designed to protect the health and safety of the workers. Key features: - Maximum working week time: 48 hours in 7 days (average over 6 months) - 11 hours of rest a day - A right to a day off each week - A right to a rest break if the working day is > 6 hours - A total of 5.6 weeks paid leave each year.
