Self Evaluation Stages: School Self-Evaluation (SSE) Approach to Institutional Development: School self-evaluation process (SSE) helps in creating an appropriate climate to help school communities fulfilling internal and external requirements. then school self-evaluation becomes a mechanism that enables the school to support itself to review its work effectiveness, with the aim of achieving education quality continiously. The self evaluation is performed according to certain standards that are related to certain fields, these fields are: -Vision, mission, goals and policies. - Institutional planning. - Leadership effectiveness and quality. -Institutional culture. - Quality of the teaching and learning process. - Quality of academic achievement. - Educational assessment for learners. - Openness to society and the environment. - Comprehensive development of learners. Best Practices for Self-Evaluation: In New Zealand: Self-evaluation begins with self-review (internal review). It begins with the school’s annual executive plan, which is part of its general strategic plan. Self-review relies on performance reports that serve as a basic foundation for the professional development of employees. It also relies on national standards of education, and participation of school community representatives, and the Board of Trustees who participates in the self-evaluation process.
