Study Guide for second Quarter Test Grade 12 Test Timing: Sunday 17/11/2024 To memorize the following Hadeeth -عن ابن عباس رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُما قال سمعت رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّم يقول: \"ما من رجل مسلم يموت فيقوم على جنازته أربعون رجلاً لا يشركون بالله شيئاً إلا شفعهم اللَّه فيه.\" ((رَوَاهُ مُسلِمٌ)). Ibn \'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, \"If a Muslim dies and forty people, who do not associate anything with Allah in worship, participate in the funeral prayer over him, Allah will accept their intercession for him.\" \[Muslim\]. -قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم \"أفضل نساء أهل الجنة ، خديجة بنت خويلد، وفاطمة بنت محمد ومريم بنت عمران، وآسية بنت مزاحم امرأة فرعون \" صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم Our prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said "The best women in Paradise are Khadija bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Mohammed, Mariam bint Imran and Aisia bint Muzahim; wife of the pharaoh. -قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم \" من أحب عليًا فقد أحبنى ومن أحبنى فقد أحب الله ومن أبغض عليًا فقد أبغضنى ومن أبغضنى فقد أبغض الله\" صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم Our prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said "who loved Ali loved me, and who loved me, loved Allah. and those who hated Ali hated me, and who hated me hated Allah " Study these topics: Ali Ibn Abi Taleb RAA. Sale (Bai') Characteristics of Awliya of Allah (ALLAH ALLIES). Intercession (shafaa). **Intercession** What is Intercession? (shafaa) Mediating for someone else to gain some benefit or ward off some harm. What are the main types of (intercession) shafaa with explanation? 1-Greater Intercession: Special intercession by Prophet Muhammad on the day of Resurrection. 2-Intercession for Paradise: Prophet Muhammad intercedes for people to enter paradise. 3-General Intercession: - For those in Hell to be brought out. -To raise believers' status in Paradise. What are the Conditions of intercession? 1-Allah must approve of the one for whom intercession made. 2-Allah must give permission to the intercessor to intercede. 3-Allah must approve of the intercessor. What are the types of general shafaa? 1-Intercession for some people who have entered hell. 2-Intercession for people who deserved hell. 3-Intercession for some of the believers who deserved paradise. 4-Intercession of angels, Prophets and righteous people. 5-Intercession of Shuhadaa (martyrs). **Characteristics of Awliya of Allah (ALLAH ALLIES).** 1-Definition of Awliya: \- Awliya (singular: Wali) are close allies or friends of Allah, who have faith and piety. \- Allah protects them and gives them glad tidings in this life and the Hereafter. 2-Conditions to Be an Ally of Allah: \- Faith and Taqwa (Piety): To be an ally of Allah, a person must have true belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His prophets, and the Last Day. \- Full Loyalty: Allies love what Allah loves, hate what Allah hates, and give and withhold for His sake. \- Actions and Beliefs: They follow all that Allah commands, avoid what He forbids, and respect the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). 3-Actions of the Allies of Allah: \- There are two types of allies: \- Forerunners: Those who do both obligatory and extra good deeds to be closer to Allah. \- The Righteous: Those who focus on fulfilling all obligatory actions and avoid what is forbidden, with less emphasis on extra acts. \- Forerunners try to please Allah by doing extra acts like Nawaafil (voluntary acts of worship). 4-Not Free from Mistakes: \- Being an ally of Allah doesn't mean they are free from errors or mistakes. They are human and can still make errors. **Sale (Bai')** 1-What is the definition of a sale (Bai') with evidence? \- Sale (Bai') is the exchange of something valuable with another thing of value, with mutual consent, typically the sale of a commodity in exchange for cash. \- Evidence: \"وأحل الله البيع وحرم الربا\" 2-What are the different types of sale (Bai') in Islam? (meaning only understand) 1- (Bai' Sahih): A sale where all necessary conditions are met. 2- (Bai' Baatil): A non-existing sale, invalid from the beginning. 3- (Bai' Fasid): A sale that is invalid due to some defect. 4- (Bai' Makrooh): A sale that is technically valid but disliked in Islam. 3-What are the main pillars of a valid sale? (meaning only understand) 1-Contract (Aqd): An agreement between the buyer and the seller. 2-Subject Matter (Mabe'e): The item or good being sold. 3-Price (Thaman): The agreed-upon price for the item. 4-Possession/Delivery (Qabza): The transfer of ownership from seller to buyer. 4-What are the elements required in a valid sale contract? 1-Offer and acceptance (Ijab-o-Qobool) إيجاب وقبول 2-Oral (Qauli)قولي 3-Implied (Isharaa)إشارة 4-Credit Sales (Istijrar)استجرار 5-Hand-to-Hand (Taati)تعاطي 5-What conditions must the subject matter of a sale meet? 1-Existing (it must exist) 2-Valuable 3-Usable 4-Capable of ownership/title 5-Specific & quantified 6-Capable of delivery/possession 7-Seller must have title & risk 6-Describe the different types of sales in Islam. 1-Bai Musawamah: A normal sale where the cost price is not known. 2-Bai Murabaha: A sale in which the cost and sale price are known to the buyer. 3-Bai Muqayada: A barter sale, excluding currency sale. 4-Bai Surf: A sale involving gold, silver, or currency. 5-Bai Salam: A sale with spot payment and deferred delivery of the goods. 6-Bai Istisna: A sale for a product that is ordered or manufactured before it exists. 7-Bai Muajjal: A sale with spot delivery but deferred payment, with the cost known. **Ali Ibn Abi Taleb RAA** 1-Give a brief introduction about birth, life. Caliphate of Ali ibn AbiTaleb. -Birth: Ali Ibn Abi Talib (R.A.) was born in Makkah into the noble Quraysh family of Banu Hashim. His mother was Fatimah, and his father was Abu Talib, the custodian of the Kaaba. He was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and grew up in the Prophet\'s household. \- Life: Ali (R.A.) was one of the earliest followers of Islam. He was known for his bravery and dedication, participating in many battles to defend Islam. He also helped in spreading Islamic teachings and was trusted by the Prophet (S.A.W.) with important responsibilities. \- Caliphate: Ali (R.A.) became the fourth Caliph after Caliph Uthman (R.A.) in 656 CE. His reign faced many challenges, including internal conflicts and disputes. Despite these difficulties, he focused on justice and maintaining Islamic values. His caliphate lasted until he was assassinated in 661 CE. 2-Who were the four caliphs? -Abu Bakr -Umar ibn Alkhattab -Uthman ibn Affan -Ali ibn Abi talib **Abu Huraira** -Abdulrahman ibn Sakhir Aldawsi -From the tribe of Aldawsi -Famous for writing hadeeth, He narrated over 5000 hadeeth -He was Muslim for 50 years from the age of 19 (7 Hijri) -He died at age 78 (57 Hijri), buried in albaqee in medina 2-How did Ali (R.A.) come to Islam at an early age? -When Ali (R.A.) was five, he was brought into the Prophet's (S.A.W.) household. He grew up there and became the first to accept Islam as a young child when the Prophet (S.A.W.) shared the message with him. 3-What was Ali's role during the Prophet's (S.A.W.) migration to Madinah? -During the Prophet's (S.A.W.) migration, Ali (R.A.) slept in the Prophet\'s bed to deceive the Quraysh who wanted to harm the Prophet. This allowed the Prophet to leave Makkah safely. 4-What contributions did Ali (R.A.) make during the Prophet's (S.A.W.) lifetime? -Ali (R.A.) was trusted as one of the Prophet's scribes, helped establish Islamic guidelines, and participated in many battles, standing by the Prophet's side. He was also involved in the Treaty of Hudaybiyah and was sent to Yemen to spread Islam. 5-How did Ali (R.A.) show bravery in supporting Islam? -Ali (R.A.) fought in many battles and led warriors into enemy territories. He was known for his bravery at the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud, where he stood firm beside the Prophet (S.A.W.) 6-What was Ali's (R.A.) role as the fourth Caliph? -After Caliph Uthman's death, Ali (R.A.) became the fourth Caliph. His rule was marked by efforts to maintain peace, organizing the police, building jails, and transferring the capital to Kufah. He also contributed to the preservation of the Quran by ordering vowel signs to be added. 7-How did Ali (R.A.) die, and what is his legacy? -Ali (R.A.) was assassinated on 18th Ramadan, 40 AH (661 CE), while praying in the Great Mosque of Kufah. He was struck by a poison-coated sword wielded by ibn Muljam. His caliphate lasted five years, and he is remembered for his wisdom, bravery, and dedication to Islam.
