TOPIC 1: INTRODUCTION COMPUTER COMPUTER is an electronic device that functions under the control of instructions stored in memory. Computer should be able to perform four (4) basic tasks: 1. Input - It should be able to accept data as input via input devices. 2. Processing - It should be able to process the data into useful information using processing device. 3. Output - It should be able to produce or display information on output devices. 4. Storing - It should be able to store the information for future use in storage devices.
