Here are some list of topics about the Doctrine of God: The Knowability of God The Existence of God The Nature of God The Names of God The Attribute of God The Works of God The Persons of God The God of the bible It is carved in human DNA to seek out and worship someone or something greater than oneself. This trait is evident in every corner of the world. There is no ethnic group, culture, or nation throughout history that has been without gods, goddesses, or some form of higher power and authority (some people worship nature and other creations). The God of the Bible is distinct from any other gods of this world. The God of the Bible is holy, just, and righteous. No other religion addresses the problem of sin in the same way; only the God of the Bible addresses the issue of sin in the human heart. The God of the Bible is a personal being who desires a relationship with His greatest creation: humanity. Romans 1: 21- 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. ETERNAL GODHEAD - Trinity 1 John 5:7-8 (KJV) “For there are three that bear record in heaven – the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE…” We believe in ONE God in THREE Personhood. Evidence for Trinity There are 2 important things to know about God: 1. Distinctive (Who is God?) – The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost. 2. Equality ( What is God?) – Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omnicient. The best way to explain the scripture is by the scripture itself. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:…..” Genesis 1:26 KJV It doesn’t mean we have all the traits of God but for sure we have one of His characteristics and that is He is a person and humankind has personality and will. We believe in One God in 3 different Persons The Father Bear different names: Yhwh, Elohim, Jehovah, Adonai, El Shaddai, El Elyon, I Am who I Am, El, Abba. The Father is the one who sent His son Jesus for the forgiveness of sin to those who will believe in Him. The Son ( Jesus ) Isaiah 9:6 KJV - Jesus as Man & God (coming of the Messiah) 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father (John 10:30 one in being but not in person), The Prince of Peace. Daniel 7:13-14 KJV 13 Isaw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Mark 14:62 KJV And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Colossians 1:15-17 KJV 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Philippians 2:5-7 KJV 5 Letthis mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men The Holy Spirit He is our helper and the 3rd person of the triune God. Other Names: Holy Ghost Comforter / Counselor Convicter of Sin Guide Indweller of Believers Intercessor Revealer / Spirit of Truth: Spirit of God Teacher Witness 3 Different Persons Yet one God.- Trinity We do not discover God accidentally! He revealed Himself to us. “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.” —Psalm 19:1 KJV Romans 1:20 KJV 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Evolutionist asked: Who created God The God of the Bible is not affected by time, space or matter. If He's affected by time space or matter He's not God. Time, space and matter is what we call a Continuum all of them have to come into existence at the same instant. Because if there were a matter but no space WHERE would you put it? If there were matter and space but no time WHEN (what is the starting point) would you put it? You cannot have time, space or matter independently they have to come into existence simultaneously The Bible answers that in 10 words in the beginning (there's time) God created the Heaven (there's space, outer space, the void ) Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. and the Earth (there's matter) so you have time space matter created a trinity of trinities there just you know time is past, present, future. space has length, width, height. matter has solid, liquid, gas we have a trinity of trinities created instantaneously and the God who created them has to be outside of them if he's limited by time he's not God the guy who created the computer is not in the computer he's not running around and there changing the numbers on the screen the God who created this universe is outside of the universe, he's above it, Beyond it in it, through it. he's unaffected by it if I could fit the infinite God in my three pound brain he would not be worth worshiping that's for certain -Dr. Kent Hovind Creationist Genesis 1:2-3 KJV 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said (The Father Spoke), Let there be light (Jesus was the word spoken): and there was light. John 1 :1,3-4,14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the Light of men (because He became Man to enligthen the world about sin and cause us to path of rightheousness which is the light). 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
