FEATURES OF SCIENCE SCIENCE IS TENTATIVE In science, we are never 100% certain. We look at the evidence and come up with hypotheses and test these theories. However, sometimes we find new evidence and we have to change our thinking! PEOPLE WHO CARRY OUT SCIENCE HAVE KEY ATTRIBUTES They show creativity in solving problems They are collaborative and work well with others They are curious about the world around them They show critical thinking and challenge ideas They are competitive and strive to make a difference DATA IS THOROUGHLY TESTED It is important in Science that experiments and observations can be replicated, and the results are consistent. Scientists also have their work peer reviewed by other experts to check for errors SCIENCE RESPONDS TO NEEDS & OPPORTUNITIES In our ever-changing world, problems arise that scientists need to help with- think COVID & climate change. They also respond to opportunities to do new research and discover new phenomena
