Egyptian Society and Daily Life Social hierarchy: Pharaoh at the top, followed by priests, nobles, soldiers, craftsmen, and farmers Womens roles were to run the household Pharaoh (cookig, cleaning, taking care of the priests, children, etc.) Nobles Soldiers Food in acient Egypt was wheat and Craftsmen barley, and included bread, beer, Farmers vegetables, and fish Religion and Mythology Polytheistic belief system with gods like Ra, Osiris, and Isis They were mumified after death and buried with their most important possessions. It was belived that they could take them to the afterlife. Built large temples dedecated to their gods. Monumental Architecture Pyramids: Were built to be tombs and monuments for Pharaohs Temples: Were built to please the gods.
