CONTEMPORARY ART Started in late 1960s up to present The art that springs out of the present-day events and passions of the society. It is the newest form of art. Opt Art – uses lines repeatedly to create an optical illusion Environmental Art - a movement adopted by artists of different disciplines, who are inspired by nature or use it as a raw material. Graffiti Art – an art that is done on a wall or other surface made to be seen by the public. Feminist Art - emerged from concerns of female artists expressed through art. Video Art - is made up of pictures that have been captured on video and seen on a computer, projection screen, or television. Minimalism - has a simple, manufactured appearance that is devoid of nuances and frequently flat, but conveys a certain idea or idea. Postmodern Art - a body of art movements that sought to contradict some aspects of modernism or some aspects that emerged or developed in its aftermath. Digital Art - Bits and bytes are used to generate a picture or design with the help of a computer. Body Art - a type of art where the body serves as the primary medium or subject. SUBJECT MATTER – The artwork depicts what you see. It may be a human form or a combination of texture and color MATERIAL - It is the foundation of the artwork. ART ELEMENTS & PRINCIPLES - refer to the physical qualities of the image. ART INTERPRETATION - The observer uses it following their description and analysis of an artwork. POSTMODERISM - They held the opinion that it is acceptable to recreate classics and display them as original. CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURE - an art form that requires of the artist’s creative use of balance, skill in the use of materials, and physical strength. PUBLIC ART - reflects life and its many aspects. It requires collaborative work and engages the services of different types of people. CAMPAIGN - INSPIRED PUBLIC ART - like Boysen is a paint company that promotes a revolutionary air- cleaning paint that turns toxic air pollutants into a harmless residue that washes out in rain. ARCHITECTURAL ART - It adorns public spaces where a lot of people congregate, such as façades, orchards, or enclosed structures made of concrete. COMMUNITY-BASED ART pertains to artistic endeavors done within a community and with the help of its citizens. INTALLATION ART - The art form consists of site-specific, three-dimensional artworks. LAND ART - It has enormous earthworks that engage with the surrounding landscape. CHIME HALO - the hanging bamboo chimes that create sound when blown by the wind.
