LAN Tester What is a LAN Tester? A LAN tester is a tool that checks if computer network cables are working correctly. It's like a doctor checking a patient's heartbeat. If the tester works, the cable is good, and data can travel through it. If the tester doesn't work, the cable might have a problem and needs to be fixed. LAN Tester LAN tester is mainly used for testing ethernet cables for faults or missing pair connections. A decent LAN tester can also test the ethernet cable for shorted pairs and can also tell you if the cable is straight or a cross over. They may have the ability to test co-axial cable as well. Tweezers Tweezers are small hand tools used for grasping objects too small to be easily handled with the human fingers. Tweezers are thumb-driven forceps most likely derived from tongs used to grab or hold hot objects since the dawn of recorded history. In a scientific or medical context, they are normally referred to as just "forceps", a name that is used together with other grasping surgical instruments that resemble pliers, pincers and scissors-like clamps. Suction Suction cups are versatile tools that can be used to lift, move, and hold a variety of materials. They work by creating a vacuum between the cup and load's surface. The much higher pressure of the atmosphere then pushes down on the cup with incredible force, creating a solid yet conveniently temporary connection. Suction cup lifters are available in a variety of sizes, capacities, and surface applications. The type of lifter you need will depend on the weight of the material being lifted, the surface of the material, and the environment in which you are working. Suction What is a Suction? Meaning: a cup-shaped object of rubber, glass, plastic, etc., which, by producing a partial vacuum, can be made to adhere to or draw something to a surface. Wire Stripper A wire stripper is a small hand-held tool that is used to remove the insulation from electric wires. These portable hand-held tools are extremely popular among electricians for removing the insulation to replace the wire. What is a Wire 1.)Adjustable wire stripper is one of the different types of wire Stripper? strippers. This features a simple design, with a single notch in each blade. It comes with a stop screw that allows you to set the cut based on the wire thickness that needs to be stripped. 2.)Gauge stripper An easy-to-use wire stripper, making it popular with beginner electricians. The blades have holes matching wires of different gauges. This makes the stripping job simpler and quicker. Wire Stripper Safety Precautions in Using Wire Stripper: 1.)Never attempt to strip a live wire. If the wire is connected to a device or power source, don't attempt to strip it. Instead, disconnect the wire by removing it from the power source. 2.)Keep your fingers away from the wire strippers' blade. All wire strippers have a blade similar to a pair of scissors. Spudgers What is a Spudgers? The word “spudger” originates from the late Middle English word “spuddle,” or short knife. It is a pointed black stick with one flat end tool used for opening the case of a computer, mobile phone, etc and removing or removing small parts such as wires or sim cards. Part Retriever What is a Part Retriever? Part Retriever is mainly used to retrieve screws, although is also helpful in retrieving jammed bits in the motherboard. They mainly come in sizes ranging from about 4 to 9 inches. The outer shell is usually plastic, although higher end retrievers can have metal casing and reinforced inner material. Hex Key Set What is a Hex Key Set? Hex keys, commonly known as Allen keys/wrenches in the UK and various other countries, are a very simple hand tool of the general spanner and socket family, used for tightening and loosening hexagonal bolts and other compatible fasteners. Hex key sets typically include a range of different-sized hex keys, each with a hexagonal-shaped tip that fits into the corresponding socket of a bolt or screw. The hex keys are usually L-shaped, allowing for easy gripping and turning. Hex Key Set What is a Hex Key Set? The advantage of using a hex key set is that it provides a secure and efficient way to tighten or loosen hexagonal fasteners. The set usually comes in a compact case or holder, making it convenient for storage and transportation.
