# Cabin Crew Operations Manual ## Chapter 1: Normal Procedures Normal procedures are all procedures established by Smartwings for day-to-day normal operations. This chapter presents cabin crew tasks during normal operations by phases of flight: - ground and pre-flight operations - pushback and taxi - take-off - climb - cruise - descent and approach - landing - post-landing and post-flight operations (including transit) ### 1.1 Reporting for Duty Cabin crew has the responsibility for knowing when they are to fly or attend any other duty period according to crew schedule. Cabin crew shall comply with the reporting time for their duty assigned in ECREW. CC has to be ready at briefing room before duty time. Cabin Crew shall check up-date information in EFA and ECREW before every flight/duty. (Reporting for duty time can be changed according to company and operational needs, e.g. long flights – FUE, SID, ...etc.). CC shall carry the following documents for the flight duty: 1. CC licence/CC aircraft type/variant qualification 2. medical certificate in accordance with Regulation (EU) No.1178/2011 3. CC Attestation 4. valid passport 5. valid ID card 6. crew expiry dates report 7. international certificate of vaccination (applicable to full time employees or when required by the operator) Each CC member is responsible for the validity of his documents and shall ensure adequate time for issuing, renewal, and prolongation of his documents. Obligatory working aids: wristwatch, reflective vest and SCC folder with spare reports and forms (only SCC; for the list of content refer to CCOM, Chapter 2.17.2) Recommended working aids: sewing kit, apron, torch and valid revision of Announcement Book and its amendments (only SCC). It is responsibility of each CC to have recommended working aids to be able to perform his duties properly. ### 1.2 CC Briefing Briefing shall be completed prior to each flight or crew change. In all smartwings bases CC members are summoned to participate in briefing in accordance with time assigned in ECREW. The briefing shall be performed in English and/or native language and shall be brought to the attention of the whole crew. **Objectives of CC Briefing:** 1. CHECK the CC competence and readiness for flight 2. MOTIVATE for professional work performance and compliance with company standards – achieve the desired quality and safety. 3. ACTIVATE teamwork - concentration on team performance **Safety briefing:** 1. Introducing 2. Check of documents/uniform 3. SOP - Normal procedures: * SCC distributes duty/working positions (2L position is assigned to CC member with a minimum of 3 months flying experience; no matter if he is the most senior CC or not) * Info about the flight, PAX, A/C * Surveillance of the passenger cabin, the lavatories and the galleys * Management of/ and assistance to passengers * Crew communication and coordination, including the necessary contact with and support to the flight crew 4. SEP - Emergency procedures * Emergency procedures (native language commands) * Security procedures – e.g. agree password with FC for suspicious activity in cabin * First Aid; medical emergency * SCC/FC/CC incapacitation * Unruly behaviour * Unlawful interference or bomb threat * Depressurization/decompression * Fire or smoke event * Emergency descent 5. SEE - Safety and emergency equipment **Note.** Each CC member shall be briefed. If a crew member does not attend the pre-flight briefing (STBY duty), he shall be briefed by SCC/CPT at the earliest opportunity. **Note.** Each CC member keeps his position assigned during briefing through the whole flight. Even if CC member is a part of augmented crew. **Note.** If a flight is operated with augmented crew, each crew member may rest for a part of flight duty period. Special briefing concerning in-flight rest due to flight duty period extension shall take place. **Note.** If the flight is operated with SCC, SCC with higher seniority is designated as a PURSER. ### 1.2.1 In-Flight Information Flight Information - Dep. date time: 05.09.2023 0205 UTC - Leg: PRG (LKPR) - LCA (LCLK) - Airport: PRAHA/VACLAV HAVEL - Flight number: TVS1108 (J) - Departure (LT/UTC): 0405/0205 - Arrival (LT/UTC): 0830/0530 - Trip time: 0315 - AC model: B738 - REG: OM-TSG - Cabin config: 189Y ## 1.3 Pre-Flight Check ### 1.3.1 Safety and Emergency Equipment & Other Equipment: Pre-Departure Check **B 737:** The required checks and procedures shall be performed according to G-MN-09 CCOM and G-MN-33 PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTIONS | BOEING 737 (checklist G-MN-33_C1 PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION - CABIN | BOEING 737 (under CC J/S)). - **1L and 2L:** responsible for the emergency equipment. All emergency equipment is adjacent to CC positions. The updated list of EEL layouts can be found in the Smartwings briefing room or in EFA web application. - **1R and 2R:** responsible for assigned emergency exit and all equipment and supplies which may affect the flight safety. They are responsible for catering equipment and other supplies. - **B900/4R:** responsible for assigned emergency exits and emergency equipment in his station. He is responsible for all equipment and supplies, which may affect the flight safety and is responsible for catering equipment and other supplies - duties up to SCC decision - **The other CC:** responsibilities remain the same. **A 220:** The required checks and procedures shall be performed according to A 220 Pre-flight Checklist. ** A 320:** The required checks and procedures shall be performed according to A 320 Pre-flight Checklist. After the check is completed, the assigned CC shall report to SCC/SCC to CMD about completion of the check and discrepancies. In case of discrepancies, CMD shall be informed. Any discrepancy shall be checked with MEL and recorded in the ATL (Aircraft Technical Log) by CMD and the alternate procedures shall be established by CMD. For details refer to: G-MN-13 TECHNICAL LOG AND JOURNEY LOG and G-MN-44 Electronic Technical Log (ETL) – User Manual. Catering equipment and supplies are checked, fixed, and labeled if INOP (for details see Chapter 1.3.5.) If applicable: irregularity shall be fixed and labeled. ### 1.3.1.1 Reporting Procedure Whenever safety affecting irregularity occurs (prior to/during/after the flight) it shall be reported to CMD and the ATL shall be filled. Any observed discrepancy shall be reported as follows: 1. Emergency equipment = MEL item = reported by CMD to ATL 2. Aircraft part/equipment = non-MEL item/NSRIL item = reported by CMD to ATL 3. Non-aircraft part/equipment (any other equipment, such as catering equipment, etc.) = reported via standard safety reporting system ## 1.3.6 A/C Security Search Cabin crew members are responsible for performing A/C security search in cabin. Before the flight CC are informed on the necessity of A/C Security Search in In-flight information. However, in case of any suspicious activity CC shall perform A/C Security Search regardless the instructions in In-flight information. Each CC is responsible for a particular part of A/C interior specified in his SECURITY SEARCH LIST which corresponds to his working position. The purpose of the Security Search is to ensure that neither an unauthorized person nor articles are imposing a security threat on board. **Note**: Security Search shall be performed when all ground staff have left the A/C. ### 1.3.6.1 A/C Security Search Record For more information regarding A/C Security Search; A/C Security Search Record refer to OM-A Chapter 10 Security. ### 1.3.6.2 Cabin Crew Security Search Checklist 1. Seat areas (areas under seats, between seats and between the seat and the wall, 5-10% life vest pouches, inside/under tray tables, seat pockets, ashtrays) 2. Overhead bins 3. Galley (Inside/behind storage bins, inside/behind waste bins, food and beverage carts and containers, if sealed - check the seals are intact) 4. Lavatories (Paper towel and sanitary napkin compartments, inside/under/behind waste bin) 5. Other cabin areas (floor and ceiling, all compartments) 6. Cockpit, performed by Flight Crew (complete floor area, seats, life jacket, pockets, beneath all seats, oxygen masks compartment) **Note**: Upon arrival there is no A/C Security Search, CC shall check the cabin for lost or forgotten items only. 2L(B737)/4LA(A220)/4LA(A320) reports to SCC “CABIN CHECK DONE“. **Note**: Should any lost or forgotten item be found, SCC shall complete FINDS REPORT 2x. 1 сору for the ground staff and the second copy is to be signed by the ground staff and put into the post-flight envelope. ## 1.4 Announcements to Passengers It is a duty and priority of SCC to make all necessary announcements in standard and emergency situations. SCC has the overall responsibility for carrying out all necessary announcements. Only SCC may delegate this duty to the other CCMs. On A/C equipped with PRAM (Pre-recorded announcement), it shall be always used. All necessary announcements are made via PA system or PRAM. In case of PA system/ PRAM failure or in emergency situations announcements are performed by megaphones. All announcements shall be made in accordance with valid revision of G-MN-14 Announcement Book. **Editor Note.** To be familiar with the order of announcements throughout the flight, the SCC ANN: notes (announcements) will show you the assigned moment for a specific announcement and guide you through the whole Chapter 1 of this CCOM. ## 1.5 Passenger Embarkation and Distribution Before passenger embarkation, it shall be verified with CPT and SCC that A/C is ready for boarding and SCC informs other CC by PA: „PASSENGERS BOARDING“. Before passenger embarkation, CC members shall continuously make sure that steps or jet ways are in a safe position. For details refer to CCOM 2.17 PASSENGER STAIRS. **Note**. B737-900 before embarkation SCC agrees with the ground staff the embarkation procedures in order to avoid aircraft tipping, the preferred manner of B737 - 900 boarding is to board PAX seated in the front rows first, it is strictly prohibited to speed up the boarding by seating PAX in the last rows first. 1. **CC Positions during PAX embarkation:** All CC members shall be ready to greet PAX at their assigned area: * **B737-700*:** 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R * **B737-800/MAX8:** 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R * **B737-900**: 1L, 1R, 2R, 4R * **A220**: 1L, 4LA, 4R * **A320**: 1L, 4LA, 4R 2. **CC duties during PAX embarkation:** * **B737-800/MAX8:** * 1L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 1L and 1R * 1R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the front part of the cabin * 2L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 2L and 2R * 2R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the back part of the cabin and briefs PAX by the overwing exits * **B737-700:** * 1L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 1L and 1R * 2L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 2L and 2R; is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the back part of the cabin * 2R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the front part of the cabin and briefs PAX by the overwing exits * **B737-900:** * 1L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 1L and 1R * 1R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the front part of the cabin * 2L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 2L and 2R * 2R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the back part of the cabin and briefs PAX by the overwing exits * 4R briefs PAX by the mid emergency exits and assists 1R and 2R in the distribution and the explanation of use of infant life jackets and infant seatbelts * **A220:** * 1L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 1L and 1R * 4LA shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 4L and 4R; is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the back part of the cabin * 4R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the front part of the cabin and briefs PAX by the overwing exits * **A320:** * 1L shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 1L and 1R * 1R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the front part of the cabin * 4LA shall check PAX boarding passes - information on the necessity of boarding passes check is specified in In-flight information (flight No., date, destination); shall check sick, disruptive etc. PAX; shall oversee door 4L and 4R * 4R is responsible for the distribution and the explanation of use of infant seatbelts and infant life jackets in the back part of the cabin and briefs PAX by the overwing exits 3. Passenger counting: * The assigned CC members are responsible for correct counting of PAX: * **B737-800, MAX8, 900ER:** 1R and 2R * **B737-700: **2R and 2L* * **A220: **4R and 4LA * **A320: **1R and 4R SCC shall report the correct PAX number and seating to CPT. SCC shall verify that the reported PAX number and seating correspond with the loadsheet. SCC is responsible for the correct PAX seating. Passengers shall occupy the seats according to the loadsheet as it affects the aircraft balance. ## 1.5.1 Passengers with Direct Access to Emergency Exits Seats that permit direct access to emergency exits shall be allocated to passengers who appear to be reasonably fit, strong, able and willing to assist the rapid evacuation of the aircraft in an emergency. Those passengers shall be appropriately briefed by the crew (operation of the exit, assessment of surrounding conditions, command for evacuation). If PAX change seats for any reason during the flight, another emergency exit briefing shall take place before landing. Passengers who, because of their condition, might hinder other passengers during an evacuation or who might impede the crew in carrying out their duties, should not be allocated seats that permit direct access to emergency exits. The following categories of passengers are among those who should not be allocated to, or directed to, seats that permit direct access to emergency exits: 1. passengers who lack sufficient strength, mobility or dexterity 2. passengers who are not able to read and understand instructions for emergency evacuation in written or graphic form and are not able to understand emergency commands and signals from the crew (e.g. substantially blind or substantially deaf) 3. passengers suffering from obvious physical or mental disability to the extent that they would have difficulty in moving quickly if asked to do so 4. passengers who because of age or sickness are so frail that they have difficulty in moving quickly 5. passengers who are so obese that they would have difficulty in moving quickly or reaching and passing through the adjacent emergency exit 6. passengers who need to use an extension seat belt 7. passengers travelling with a person who needs their assistance in case of emergency 8. expectant mothers 9. children up to 12 years of age 10. PAX with infants 11. deportees, inadmissible passengers, or persons in custody and 12. passengers with animals. If a passenger who belongs to any of above defined categories has been seated (during check-in) to the seat that permits direct access to emergency exits, the SCC shall reseat such a passenger (SCC may ask ground staff for assistance with PAX reseating). **Note.** "Direct access" means a seat from which a passenger can proceed directly to the exit without entering an aisle or passing around an obstruction. **Note**. When allocating a seat in a seat row with direct access to an emergency exit, a passenger shall be provided with the applicable emergency exit seating restriction prior to boarding (e.g. at the stage of booking, during check-in, etc.) **Note**. If practicable, it is recommended to allocate DHC to a seat row with direct access to an emergency exit. ## 1.5.2 Passengers Safety Briefing at Overwing Exit The responsible CCM shall brief the passengers sitting by an overwing exit as follows: - **EN**: Good morning, Madam/Sir, I have to inform you that you are sitting by an emergency exit. It is not allowed to keep any loose item in this row (all shall be stowed in the overhead bin). And I have to inform you how to open this exit if needed. This emergency exit is to be opened only when the crew instruct you to do so by the order "EVACUATE". You shall always check the outside conditions, then hold the handle and pull upwards and the door will automatically fall outward (in the event of emergency landing on water pull the handle placed under the cover in the lower part of this exit to detach the slide. Then leave the plane). Here is Safety Instruction card, please study it carefully before departure. Did you understand and do you agree? Thank you. - **CZ**: Dobrý den paní/pane, chtěla bych Vás informovat, že sedíte u nouzového východu. V této řadě není dovoleno ponechávat žádné volně položené předměty (vše musí být uloženo ve schránkách nad vašimi hlavami). Dále Vás musím informovat, jak otevřít tento východ v případě nouze. Tento nouzový východ otevřete, pouze pokud uslyšíte povel “EVACUATE“. Vždy zkontrolujte vnější podmínky, potom zatáhněte za červené madlo směrem dolů a okno se otevře automaticky. Ještě před startem si pozorně prohlédněte tyto bezpečnostní instrukce. Rozuměla jste a souhlasíte? Děkuji. - **SK**: Dobrý deň pani/pane, Chcela by som Vás informovať, že sedíte vedľa núdzového východu. V tomto rade nie je dovolené odkladať žiadnu batožinu pod sedadlá (všetko musí byť uložené v schránkach nad Vašimi hlavami). Dovoľte mi Vás informovať, ako otvoriť tento východ v prípade potreby. Tento núdzový východ otvorte len keď vás k tomu vyzve palubný personál po povele „EVACUATE“. Najskôr skontrolujte vonkajšie podmienky, potom zatiahnite červené madlo dole a okno sa automaticky otvorí. Tu je karta s bezpečnostnými inštrukciami, prosím, preštudujte si ich ešte pred odletom. Rozumeli ste a súhlasíte? Ďakujem. - **HU**: Jó napot kívánok Hölgyem/Uram! Tájékoztatom Önt, hogy vészkijárati sorban ül. Nem lehet semmilyen poggyász ebben a sorban, mindent a felső csomagtárolóban kell elhelyezni. Tájékoztatnom kell továbbá, hogyan nyitható ez a kijárat vészhelyzet esetén. Ez a kijárat csak a személyzet utasítására nyitható, amikor azt hallja, hogy „KIÜRÍTÉS“. Ilyenkor mindig ellenőrizze a külső körülményeket, majd húzza le a piros kart és a kijárat automatikusan kinyílik. Itt a biztonsági tájékoztató, kérem indulás előtt figyelmesen tanulmányozza át! Megértette és elfogadja? Köszönöm. - **PL**: Dzień dobry, Proszę Pani/Proszę Pana Chciałam/Chciałem Państwa poinformować, że zajmujecie Państwo miejsce przy wyjściu awaryjnym, w związku z tym proszę o umieszczenie całego bagażu podręcznego, na czas startu i lądowania, w półkach znajdujących się nad Państwa głowami. Muszę Państwa poinstruować jak otworzyć okno na wypadek sytuacji awaryjnej. To wyjscie nalezy otworzyc tylko wtedy gdy załoga poda komendę “Ewakuacja”. Przed otworzeniem okna, proszę sprawdzić warunki panujące za oknem, jeśli są bezpieczne, należy pociągnąć do dołu czerwoną rączkę/dźwignie, a okno otworzy się automatycznie. Przed startem proszę o dokładne zapoznanie się z instrukcją bezpieczenstwa. Czy wszystkie informacje są zrozumiałe dla Państwa? Dziękuję. - **FR**: Bonjour Madame / MonsieurJe vous informe que vous êtes assis(e) près d'une issue de secours. Il est interdit de garder des bagages à cette rangée et ils doivent être placés dans les coffres. Je dois vous expliquer comment ouvrir la porte en cas de nécessité. Cette issue ne doit être ouverte que lorsque l'équipage vous l'indique par la commande „EVACUATE". Avant de l'ouvrir, vous devez toujours vérifier les conditions extérieures puis tirer sur la poignée rouge. La porte s'ouvrira automatiquement. Je vous remercie de prendre connaissance de la notice de sécurité avant le décollage. Avez-vous compris mes instructions? Acceptez-vous? It is not allowed to keep any loose item in this row (all must be stowed in the overhead bin). And I have to inform you how to open this exit if needed. This emergency exit is to be opened only when the crew instruct you to do so by the order "EVACUATE". You shall always check the outside conditions, then hold the handle and pull upwards and the door will automatically fall outward (in the event of emergency landing on water pull the handle placed under the cover in the lower part of this exit to detach the slide. Then leave the plane). Here is Safety Instruction card, please study it carefully before departure. Did you understand and do you agree? Ještě před startem si pozorně prohlédněte tyto bezpečnostní instrukce. Rozuměl/a jste a souhlasíte? Děkuji . - **SK**: Dobrý deň pani / pane, Chcel / a by som Vás informovať, že sedíte pri núdzovom východe. V tejto rade nie je dovolené ponechávať žiadne voľne položené predmety (všetko musí byť uložené v priestore nad vašimi hlavami). Ďalej Vás musím informovať, ako otvoriť tento východ v prípade núdze. Tento núdzový východ otvorte, iba ak počujete povel "Evacuate". Vždy skontrolujte vonkajšie podmienky, potom zatiahnite za držadlo smerom nahor a východ sa automaticky otvorí smerom von. (V prípade núdzového pristátia na vodu najprv odpojte sklz zatiahnutím za páku, ktorá sa nachádza pod príklopkou v ľavej dolnej časti tohto východu. Potom opustite lietadlo). Ešte pred štartom si pozorne prezrite tieto bezpečnostné inštrukcie. Rozumel / a ste a súhlasíte? Ďakujem. - **HU**: Jó napot kívánok Hölgyem/Uram! Tájékoztatom Önt, hogy vészkijárati sorban ül. Vízre történő kényszerleszállás esetén húzza meg a „for ditching use only" feliratú kart, mely az ajtókeret alsó részében található és ezáltal válassza le a csúszdát az ajtóról. Itt a biztonsági tájékoztató, kérem indulás előtt figyelmesen tanulmányozza át! Megértette és elfogadja? Köszönöm. - **PL**: Dzień Dobry Pani/Panu, Informuję, iż zajmuje Pani/Pan miejsce przy wyjściu awaryjnym. Cały bagaż podręczny należy umieścić w schowku. Muszę również poinformować jak otworzyć drzwi w przypadku sytuacji awaryjnej. To wyjście należy otworzyć tylko wtedy gdy załoga poda komendę "Ewakuacja", Proszę sprawdzić warunki panującą na zewnątrz, należy chwycić uchwyt, pociągnąć do góry, aby drzwi otworzyły się automatycznie. W przypadku awaryjnego lądowania na wodzie należy odczepić slaid pociągajac uchwyt for ditching use only" znajdujący się w dolnej części krawędzi samolotu. Merci ## 1.5.3 Hand Baggage Passengers' and crew Hand baggage shall be stowed in an approved stowage. Approved stowage is: 1. the overhead bin (except those designated for the stowage of safety equipment only) 2. under the seat in front of a passenger (securely stowed in the frame) 3. closet, cupboard, or similar area designated for the stowage of hand baggage Oversized and excess baggage shall be stowed in the baggage compartment with a tag on it according to its destination. Passengers are entitled to carry on board: 1. one piece of cabin baggage: max weight of 8 kg with max length of 56 cm x width 45 cm x depth 25 cm and one small personal handbag (e.g. ladies handbag or laptop) with dimensions of 40x30X15 and max weight of 3 kg. Large baggage, such as crutches, shall be placed in the back part of the overhead compartments ## 1.5.4 Portable Electronic Devices (PED) Portable electronic device is any kind of electronic device brought on board the aircraft by crew members, passengers or as a part of the cargo. Some portable electronic devices might adversely affect the performance of aircraft systems or equipment. For classification of electronic devices and for the associated procedures to ensure the use of such devices is controlled refer to OM-A, Chapter 8.3.15.8 Portable electronic devices. Passengers are informed about the restrictions on the use of electronic equipment during the passenger safety briefing. PEDs fall into 3 categories: 1. NON T-PED - non-intentional transmitters 2. T-PED- intentional transmitters 3. C-PED - non-/intentional transmitters, controlled by Smartwings (OBT On-board Terminal, AED) ### 1.5.4.1 Approved PED **Note**: The PEDs listed below were approved prior to the requirement of assessment of PED tolerance has come into force. Smartwings assessed the reported PED incidents and considered the listed PEDs as safe. 1. PED which may be used during any phase of flight: * Medical equipment necessary to support physiological functions (pacemakers, hearing aids) * Electronic watches * Cameras * Audio and video reproducers and recorders * CD, DVD, MP3 players * Electrical shave machines * Non-transmitting PED provided to assist crew members in their duties * GPS (Global Positioning System) * Bluetooth * TV sets * Radio receivers * Calculators 2. T-PED which may be used only in flight mode (mobile/cellular connection disabled): * Mobile phones, smartphones * Smartwatch * Tablets * E-readers * Laptops * Portable electronic games 3. C-PEDs. Company issued devices such as: * iPads (EFB) are authorized to be used during any phase of flight including refuelling, LVO and Emergency. For more information see OM-A, chapter 8.9. ## 1.6 Doors Operation **CAUTION**: Before any door opening, CC shall always ensure that the girt bar is disengaged from floor brackets and stowed in the stowage hooks; and the warning flag is positioned in its unarmed position. All cabin doors, i.e., service and entrance doors shall normally be opened and closed from inside by members of the operating crew only or, in exceptional cases, by trained ground operations or maintenance personnel. Operation of doors from outside is normally performed by trained handling or maintenance staff. To prevent safety hazards (such as fall from height, entrapment and personnel injury during door operation) CC, FC and ground personnel shall be appropriately trained and follow all safety precautions. (For details, refer to G-MN-18 GOM, Chapter 4.4 Aircraft Doors and CCOM, Chapter 4.12) ### 1.6.1 Closing of Doors All service doors shall be closed prior to boarding. (Except for special needs passenger boarding when service doors need to be used or when additional loading is required. In both cases the door shall be supervised by responsible CCM.) - **2L (B737)/ 4L (A220, A320) door shall be closed after passenger boarding.** - **B 737**: After 2L door is closed, 2L reports to SCC: “THE DOOR 2L CLOSED". - ** A 220:** After 4L door is closed, SCC checks the door status on CMS. - **A 320**: After 4L door is closed, SCC checks the door status on FAP. 1L door shall be closed as a last when all PAX and documents (loadsheet and all required handling documents) are on board. SCC asks CPT: "MAY I CLOSE THE DOOR?" Upon CPT's approval to close the front door, SCC locks and closes FD door and then SCC proceeds to close the front door. - **B 737:** After 1L door is closed, SCC shall announce over PA: "ALL DOORS CLOSED" - **В 737-800/MAX8, В 737/900**: 1
