Summary
This document details the contents of a research chapter focusing on the conceptual framework and statement of the problem. It outlines the backbone of the research study, explaining how concepts relate and are anchored in theoretical frameworks. The document also presents a statement of the problem related to the effect of social media in HRM, including specific inquiry questions.

Contents of a Research CHAPTER 3 Conceptual Framework The conceptual framework is considered as the backbone of the research study. All other important parts of the research should be anchored to this, especially the title, subproblems, objectives, instrument, and statistical treatment. The problem and subproblems of the study are presented in the statement of the problem. The statement of the problem must be represented in a conceptual framework through a graphical model that would show the relationships of variables in the study. Aside from the graphical model, the conceptual framework must state how and where the variables are anchored in the theoretical framework (through the variables of the theory). Then, the variables used in the conceptual framework are briefly discussed to clarify how they will be applied in the study. Conceptual Framework Moreover, in coming up with a conceptual framework, the following points should be considered: 1. Only include the concepts that will be operationally defined and measured. 2. Present the diagram from left to right or top to bottom. 3. Use arrows to imply causality. 4. Label concepts clearly. 5. Do not include operational definitions or values of variables in the model. Statement of the Problem Effect of Social Media in the Hiring Process of HR SOP: 1. What are the effects of social media in the hiring process of HR? 2. What is the effect that has the most significance in the hiring process of HR? 3. Is there a significant effect between the use of social media with the hiring process of HR? Effect of Social Media in the Hiring Process of HR The Use of Hiring Social Process of Media HR Take Note You can include parameters to the SOP and Conceptual Framework based on the theory that you used or based of the Related Literature What is a Hypothesis? Hypothesis is an educated guess on the effect of a particular variable to another variable/s. It can be stated in two ways: 1. Null Hypothesis – There is no significance 2. Alternative Hypothesis – There is a significance Significance of the Study This should include why the study is significant and must include the ones that will be benefiting the study or BENEFICIARIES. The Beneficiaries can be stated from general to specific or vice versa. You must convince the readers of the research that there is a significance in the study in terms of its contribution to the industry, solving the problem, or other significance that you may have in the study. Scope and Limitations of the Study The scope and limitation of the study discusses briefly what are being covered in the study, who are included and who are not included in the study, as well as the limitation that is evident or might be encountered during the data gathering procedure. Some limitations are: 1. Number of respondents of the survey 2. Financial constraint 3. Unsafe Locations, etc. Definition of Terms The definition of terms must include the conceptual and operational definition of the terms used excessively in the study. You must use your own definition or the definition in which you are using the terms stated in your research. You can use the textbook definition of the words only if it is aligned on how you are using the word in the research. Example: The word TALENT in HR can refer to people. However, in other context it can refer to the ability or skill of one person.
