KICKBALL RULES he rules for kickball are closely related to those of baseball. The main difference is that T kickball involves a big rubber ball. The ball is about the size of a basketball. ickball is played on a field with 4 bases arranged on the corners of a diamond-shaped "infield". K Player positions are also similar to those of baseball. There is an "infield" and an "outfield." The infield contains the positions that involve the bases, while the outfield is mainly designated to catching or retrieving the ball when it is kicked out of the infield. Actual playing positions vary depending on the number of students that are actually playing. If there are only a few students playing, the positions are usually spread out, but if there are a good number of players, students will position themselves wherever there is space. ame play goes as follows: the ball is rolled towards home plate, and the player which is up ( G kicking ), tries to kick the ball. If the ball is caught in the air, the kicker is out. The ball can be caught off the ceiling or side walls for an out. If the ball hits the back wall it cannot be caught for an out. If the ball is kicked over the gold monster without touching anything on its flight path, is n automatic homerun. A player is also out if the ball is thrown at them, and hits them while a they are not touching a base. If a thrown ball misses them, they may continue to run to the next base. Also similar to baseball, if the ball is thrown to the first base man, and it is caught by the first base man while he/she is touching first base, the player running to first base is out. This is known as a "force out" in that the runner was forced to run to that base. A force out can also occur at first base by throwing the ball to the pitcher (pitchers hand). Once the pitcher has the ball the base runner cannot advance to the next base. A "force out" can occur on any base that a runner is forced to run to. When a ball is hit in the air a base runner must make sure the ball is not caught before running to the next base when there is less then 4 outs. If a kicked ball is caught and the base runner runs to the next base the defensive team can tag the base the base runner was previously at for an out. nce a team gets 5 outs, the teams switch sides. A team gets one point for having a runner O make it all the way around the bases and back to home base. he game is over when time runs out, the ball pops, or the ball is lost. At the end of the game, T the team with the most points wins.
