INSPECT THE BAY | 1.1 Inspect the bay to ensure that it is accessible before any work is undertaken | 1.1.1 Check the position of the moving arm scrapper whether it is in the way of bay 11. | | | 1.2 Ensure that there is enough space in the bay to move around | 1.2.1 Check the space where the scooper will be travelling. If there is sufficient space available then continue with the off-loading process next to bay 10 | | | | 1.2.2 The driver of the scooper must have someone on standby to give the driver directions as when to stop if the scooper is close to the edge. | | | 1.3 Check and inspect the scooper before entering bulk store | 1.3.1 If there is no enough space at the bay, there could be potential of accidents to Risk assess the job | | | 1.4 Check for leaks, cleanliness correct tyre threading etc. | 1.4.1 If any of these conditions are not met do not commence with the work | | 1.5 Guide the scooper to bay 11 | 1.5.1 Scooper must push the product from front to back and then into bay 10 and bay 11 demarcation wall | | | 1.5.2 Everybody should be at a safe distance when scooper is in the process of removing/loading | | 2. PREPARE THE PRODUCT FOR CONVEYING TO 304A CONVEYER | 2.1 Check that the product goes to 304A | 2.1.1 Convey product for bagging | | 3. PREPARE THE REMOVAL OF SCOOPER FROM BAY 11 | 3.1 Check that the most of the product in bay 11 is almost completely moved to bay 10 and 11 demarcation walls | 3.1.1 Once the scooper is outside, wash the scooper with water to avoid any contamination | | | 3.2 Check that backdoor is locked once the work is finished | ## TASK 12: ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURE | STEPS | KEY POINTS | REMARKS | |---|---|---| | 1. PRILL SPILLAGES FROM DAMAGED BAGS | 1.1 Determine the amount spillage in 25kg or 1.2t bags. | 1.1.1 All spillages should reported to the shift/team manager before can cleaned. The Manager to determine the quantity and best way to handle it | | | 1.2 25kg bag: Return the damaged bag to the Bagging station for rework. | | | 1.3 Clean the spillage using a broom into the skip bin. | 1.3.1 Never use RWB to wash the spillages into the weak effluent drains. Water should be used as a last resort in cleaning the spillages after authorisation. |
