Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October, 1931. He was an aerospace scientist. He served as the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born in Rameswaram, Tamilnadu. He studied physics and aerospace engineering. After graduating from Madras University he joined the Aeronautical Development Establishment of DRDO as a scientist after becoming a member of the DRDS. Being an industrial locality, it is also a well known area in our city. But the water supply in our locality is not regular, it is supplied once in three days and also for a short time. Sometimes the water supply is not provided for a week continuously. Other resources of water are not in good condition here. There are only two Hand Pumps in our locality. They are either in bad condition or out of order. They supply very little water after the hard labor. It is not enough for the people of this locality. People cannot get enough water to fulfill their needs. Because of this people have to fetch water from a long distance. They spend a lot of time bringing water. This affects their daily work. The time which they have to spend on their necessary work has to be spent on bringing water. Therefore, I request the concerned authorities to look into the matter seriously and take necessary steps for solving the problem. I shall be highly obliged to you. Write a paragraph to express what you liked or disliked in the movie which you watched recently. Ans. I recently watched 'Forrest Gump' on Netflix. I liked the movie a lot as it shows that no matter where the life takes you, its always there in your hands that you can mould the situations according to your will.It is the best movie I have ever seen in my life. This movie has won several oscars too.The main role was played by Tom Hanks, who later became my favourite actor. I liked the way Hanks acts as stupid but he is not. I also liked the idea of his running which makes people think he is a genius.I liked the way of the director picturised the movie, who makes us think that the person is stupid but later on how things change. There is nothing like you dont like in the movie. I suggest everyone to definetly watch it or else they are going to miss a wonderful thing in their life. My favourite sportsman is Mahender Singh Dhoni. He is an Indian Cricketer. He was the captain of the world cup winning match in 2011. He is an eminent and excellent cricketer. He has very good leadership skills. He is not only an efficient wicketkeeper but also an all rounder in the field of cricket. He managed the unity and togetherness among the team members. A very hard worker and an ideal person to the present generation. Read the following passage and answer the question given below. In Botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting branches and leaves in most species. In some usages, the definition of tree may be narrower, including only woody plants with secondary growth, plants that are usable as lumber or plants above a specified height. In wider definitions, the taller palms, tree ferns, bananas and bamboo are also trees. Trees usually reproduce seeds, flowers and fruits may be present, but some trees, such as conifers, instead have pollen cones and seed cones. Palms, bananas, and bamboos also produce seeds, but tree ferns produce spores instead. Trees play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues. Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and plants. Tropical rainforests are among the most biodiverse habitats in the world. Trees provide shade and shelter, timber for construction, fuel for cooking and heating, and fruit for food as well as having many other uses. In many parts of the world, forests are shrinking as trees are cleared to increase the amount of land available for agriculture.
