ADNOC Classification: Internal LEARNING FROM INCIDENTS - CASTOFF FROM PLATFORM What Happened: A workboat was forced to castoff from platform due to sudden and rapid weather changes leaving 5 workers on the platform. ADNOC OFFSHORE | MARINE SAFETY CAMPAIGN 2020 ONE PAGERS Vessel tried to recover the persons from the platform but was unsuccessful and MC Control instructed the vessel to cut the ropes and moved away. Safety, Standby and Rescue Vessel (SSRV) took over the recovery operation of personnel while the workboat stayed in the vicinity. No personnel injury or asset damages reported.
