Vide ref. i) above; Railway Board has approved the revised LHB Maintenance Manual version 1.1 July 2022 volume-II. Further vide ref. v), Railway Board issued instructions that the checking of the wheel profile and flange thickness has to be done by wheel profile gauge in D1 Schedule. Vide reference iii) & iv), RDSO issued instructions regarding the brake disc cleaning, air brake rake testing format & single car for LHB coaches. Base on the above, 6th Correction slip of LHB Maintenance Manual version 1.1 July 2022 Volume-II, has been prepared, same is enclosed herewith. Annexure A SN 4. Air Brake Rake Testing Rig (RTR) (Addition to Annexure A of Chapter 3) FORMAT FOR AIR BRAKE RAKE TESTING ON RTR (LHB) (RDSO letter no. MC/LHB/Brake dated 10.08.2024.) Pressure in FP : NRV check (On charging BP line, FP gauge should show Nil Front power car - 2 pressure) Rear Power Car - Self Release Check Step – 1: BP & FP to be charged Coaches in which Brakes found 5.0 & 6.0 Kg/Cm2 released - Step – 2: RTR BP/FP palms to be disconnected. 3 Step – 3: Open the angle cocks to (i) AR charge/empty - exhaust BP and FP pressure and wait for 20-25 minutes (ii) CR charge/empty - Connect BP & FP Master Gauges Accuracy of BP/FP Gauge of with dummy on free end of last 4 vehicle and charge again BP and front Power Car/LSLRD FP pressure. Leakage Check (before Attend leakage if any - maintenance) BP & FP to be Leakage < = 0.6 Kg/Cm2 in 3 charged to 5.0 & 6.0 Kg/Cm2. minutes - 5 Close BP & FP angle cock for 03 minutes (i) If AR tank found empty check for the leakage on back of the brake Panel. (iii) if defect persist, sick for SCTR test- Leakage test by dropping 1.6 Leakage location to be pin- 7 Kg/Cm2 in BP pointed using soap solution Bogie Isolation test (All Functional test of brake release 8 coaches) through bogie isolation cocks on brake panel. On brake application Indicator Brake Indicator test (All display RED- 9 coaches) On brake release Indicator display GREEN- Check for any cross In Rear End Power Car- connection in BP & FP (i) BP=3.4 Kg/cm2- 10 pressure (ii) FP = 5.8 - 6.0 Kg/cm2- 11 Check for CR overcharging If CR overcharged, mark sick 12 Check PEASD (Any 03 coaches) Coach nos. - On operating Guard emergency valve from front Power Car, BP = 0 Kg/cm2 in 25-30 seconds in front Power Car and 40-50 Continuity Test seconds in rear Power Car. 13 On operating Guard emergency valve from rear Power Car, BP = 0 Kg/cm2 in 25-30 seconds in rear Power Car and 40- 50 seconds in front Power Car. (i) Condition & mounting of hand Check Hand Brake of both 14 brake cables. Power Car/LSLRD (ii) Application and release. Monitor for Leakage (after work) (After BP- 5.0 Kg/Cm2 & FP - 6.0 15 Kg/Cm2 for 3 minutes) Leakage
