OPINIONS ▪Opinions are what a person thinks and how he / she feels about something. ▪ Different people may have different opinions about the same thing DISTINGUISH FACTS AND OPINIONS … It was a sunny yet windy winter morning on 3rd February, 2002 when 1,500 supporters – alumni, parents, students, staff and friends – turned up for Walkathon 2002. Cold weather warning was up for the whole day but the weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants. In fact, the atmosphere was warm and the spirit was high at this annual fund raising event. The scene of 1,500 participants, mostly dressed in the Walkathon 2002 navy blue rugby shirt bearing the school logo, marching through the Morning Trail around the Peak holding different coloured flags is still vividly remembered by many … DISTINGUISH FACTS AND OPINIONS Statement Fact Opinion 1. 3rd February, 2002 was a sunny day. ✔ 2. 1,500 people went to the Walkathon. ✔ 3. WHY? The French saw Napoleon as a hero because ▪He brought glory to France by building the French Empire ▪He improved their living by introducing reforms WHY?
