Volleyball Serve

  • Overhead Serve: Stand with feet slightly forward, toss ball, step with left foot, hit ball with right fist
  • Underhand Serve: Stand feet slightly forward, bend over with shoulders forward, hold ball in left hand, step with left foot and hit the ball with your right hand using the fist.

Volleyball Fundamentals

  • Pass (Bump): Feet forward, knees bent, form hands in a straight shape/simple position to receive ball.
  • Set: Feet forward, knees bent, make hands in a shape to hit ball. Use steps (right, left, right, left) with last two steps as a 2-foot take-off.
  • Hit (Spike): Right foot forward, knees bent, third of the big 3. Open hand third of big 3 technique.

Volleyball Rules

  • 3 hits per side: A team can only hit the ball three times before it must cross the net.
