EPPS Ipsative Scoring System
- The EPPS ipsative scoring system provides information on the strength of various needs in relation to the strength of other needs of the test-taker.
- This system allows for intra-individual conclusions about the test-taker, such as "John's need for achievement is higher than his need for affiliation".
Test Tryout
- The test should be tried out on people who are similar in critical respects to the people for whom the test was designed.
- A minimum of 5 subjects and preferably 10 subjects for each item on the test are recommended for the tryout.
- Using too few subjects during test tryout can lead to "phantom factors" emerging during factor analysis.
Types of Tests
