TRIZ Problem-Solving
- It uses creative solutions to overcome system conflicts or contradictions.
- System attributes include length versus strength and complexity versus flexibility.
- Solutions often involve applying one or more of 40 inventive principles.
TRIZ Problem Solution Process
- Involves searching for previously solved problems using 40 inventive principles.
- Formulate the problem through the prism of TRIZ to identify the core contradiction.
- Apply analogous solutions to specific problems or design requirements.
Inventive Principles
- Inversion involves doing things the other way around.
- Multi-functionality combines skills/capabilities into one device/system.
- Examples include pigeons monitoring air quality and police using eagles to take down drones.
- Nesting involves placing objects inside one another, like extending radio antennas or nested tables and chairs.
- Separation breaks the problem into smaller parts.
- An example is CAPTCHA digitizing a word from a book to verify users aren't robots.

Solution Selection

Improving the Situation
