  • Thomas Kuhn regnes som en av de nye vitenskapsfilosofene sammen med Lakatos og Feyerabend.
  • Han kritiserte logiske empirister og Popper, og mente de ignorerte vitenskapene som en sosial institusjon.

Paradigmer

  • Et paradigme er et rammeverk eller en måte å se verden på, som består av en kombinasjon av begreper, teorier og metoder.
  • Kuhn mente at vitenskap er handlingsbasert og at paradigmer krever aktør (vitenskapsmenn).
  • Et paradigme er inkommensurabel med et annet paradigme.

De tre stadiene i et paradigme

  • Førparadigme: Ingen paradigmer har nådd ordentlig fotfeste ennå. Vitenskapsmenn konkurrerer med hverandre.
