Central Nervous System (CNS)
- The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord.
- The main activity of the CNS is to integrate and process information.
Peripheral Nervous System (PNS)
- The main function of the PNS is to transmit information between the CNS and the rest of the body.
- The PNS consists mainly of nerves that extend from the brain and spinal cord.
