Introduction to Standards of Professional Practice (SPP) on Regular Design Services
- Applicable to individual architects' professional practice, as well as group practices as part of a juridical entity (DTI-registered sole proprietorship, SEC-registered partnership or corporation).
- Foreign architects offering services in the Philippines must comply with Sec. 38 of R.A. No. 9266 and its implementing rules and regulations.
Professional Practice Requirements
- Architects must comply with Sec. 37 of R.A. No. 9266 (The Architecture Act of 2004) and its implementing rules and regulations.
- Foreign architects practicing in the Philippines require a Temporary/Special Permit (TSP) and a work permit from the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).
- They must work in collaboration with a local counterpart Architect who is a Registered and Licensed Architect (RLA) under Philippine law.
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) Firms
- Not authorized to provide architectural services for projects on Philippine soil unless they are PRC-registered architectural firms.
Regular Design Services of an Architect
- Acts as the Owner's/Client's/Proponent's Adviser and/or Representative.

Project Definition Phase
