- Business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firms can't offer architectural services unless also registered architectural firms
- Architect's responsibilities are expandable based on project scope, skills and experience
Regular Design Services
- Architect acts as Owner's/Client's/Proponent's advisor
- Translates Owner's needs into spatial and formal designs
- Work starts with gathering Owner's requirements, includes analysis and preparation of necessary documents, and finally supervision during project implementation
- Ends when the general contractor completes the project and turns it over to the owner
Scope of Services

Project Definition Phase: Architect defines project requirements with Owner; establishes technical requirements and professional fees; gathers relevant data and defines architectural services; creates an initial estimated construction cost

Owner's Responsibilities

Other Conditions on Services
- Architect's fee is based on Project Construction Cost; additional compensation for additional services
- Other services (acoustics, murals, etc.) are recommended by Architect and paid separately
- Scale models, 3D models, walk-throughs are presented to Owner for approval, with additional fees;
- Per diem and travel expenses, if applicable, are added charges
- Extra sets of contract documents are required/chargeable
- Changes to the project, after initial approval, are additional fees
- Government taxes and services are paid by the Owner
- Ownership of documents and records (cost records) related to the construction process is clarified
Work Suspended or Abandoned
- If the project is suspended or abandoned, the owner is liable to pay for the services rendered up to that stage of the process
- Architect fee as a percentage of the project cost, if portions of the building are constructed in different periods , construction period is extended, there is a proportion in charges
Government Taxes and Services
- Amount of the Architect´s fee is net
- Any tax should to be paid from the owner
Ownership of Documents
- All documents/drawings related to the project are property of the Architect
Cost Records
- Records of expenses are required throughout the entire project process

- Signboards related to the contractors need approval prior to implementation
