The Staff Selection Commission's Group D (General Duty) exam, more commonly known as SSC GD, involves multiple stages of selection. • High jump: Men with a qualifying jump of 1.2 meters and women reaching 90cm. A maximum of three attempts permitted.
• Long Jump: No specific standard for men exists here — however, female aspirants should achieve a distance of 3.3 meters. Three trials allowed.
• Shot Put: Men required to throw the ball up to 10 meters and women achieving at least 3.5 meters.
• Throwing Ball: Female participants needed to reach a target of 10 meters. Three tries allowed.
• Running Balance: Candidates complete a 50-meter course carrying dumbbells weighing 3 kg for males and 1.5 kg for females.
• Medical Examination: Carried out by authorized doctors who verify whether a candidate meets all physical standards set forth.

If successful during the initial testing stage, you move forward to further steps like written, computerized (typing skill), and document verification processes.

Remember, passing the PST does not guarantee admission into training programs, nor do you qualify if you fail any part of the physical assessment.
