Presente

  • Used to describe actions that are happening now

  • Irregular verb conjugation: varies depending on the verb
  • Examples:
    • Hablo (I speak)
    • Comes (you eat)
    • Vive (he/she/it lives)

Pretérito (Preterite)

  • Used to describe completed actions in the past
  • Regular verb conjugation: -ar, -er, -ir
  • Irregular verb conjugation: varies depending on the verb
  • Examples:
    • Hablé (I spoke)
    • Comiste (you ate)
    • Viví (I lived)

Imperfecto ( Imperfect)

  • Used to describe ongoing or repeated actions in the past
  • Regular verb conjugation: -ar, -er, -ir
  • Irregular verb conjugation: varies depending on the verb
  • Examples:
    • Hablaba (I was speaking)
    • Comías (you were eating)
    • Vivía (I was living)

The Immediate Future

  • Examples:
    • Voy a hablar (I am going to speak)
    • Vas a comer (you are going to eat)
    • Va a vivir (he/she/it is going to live)

Reflexive Verbs

  • Used to describe actions that are performed on oneself
  • Formed using the reflexive pronouns (me, te, se, nos, os, se) and the verb in the correct tense
  • Examples:
    • Me lavo (I wash myself)
    • Te peinas (you comb your hair)
    • Se mira (he/she/it looks at himself/herself/itself)
