Study Notes
Reflexive Verbs in Spanish
- Reflexive verbs are used when the subject performs an action on themselves.
- The reflexive pronouns are placed before the conjugated verb.
- Infinitive verbs end in -ar, -er, or -ir.
- Conjugate the verb by dropping the -ar, -er, or -ir ending and adding the appropriate ending based on the subject pronoun (e.g., yo, tú, él, ella, nosotros, vosotros, ellos, ellas).
- Use the correct reflexive pronoun (e.g., me, te, se, nos, os, se) before the conjugated verb.
- Reflexive verbs are conjugated just like regular verbs (except with the addition of the reflexive pronoun).
- Use definite articles after reflexive verbs (e.g., la camisa).
- There is no possessive adjective in sentence construction. The reflexive pronoun (e.g., me) sufficiently indicates ownership.

- Me (myself)
- Te (yourself)
