- Posts must adhere to Spring Fire Department policies, including the Statement of Ethics, Workplace Harassment/Sexual Harassment, and Workplace Violence/Weapon Free Workplace Policies.
- Inappropriate posts can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- Posts should be fair and courteous, avoiding malicious or intimidating content that could harm reputations or contribute to a hostile work environment.
- Members should be honest in their posts, correct mistakes promptly, and avoid spreading false information.
- Members must maintain confidentiality and not represent themselves as spokespersons for the department without authorization.
- The use of TikTok or any related service by ByteDance on department devices is strictly prohibited.
- Social media use at work is permitted, providing it does not interfere with job duties and/or assignments.
- Spring Fire Department employees should not speak to the media on behalf of the department without first contacting the Deputy Chief of Strategic Services or designee.
- Spring Fire Department prohibits retaliation against any associate for reporting a possible deviation from this policy or for cooperating in an investigation.
Prohibited Activity
