Methods of Donning an SCBA

There are five common methods of donning an SCBA.

SCBA Inspection

During inspection, check the air cylinder and remote gauges for proper operation.
Check that the valves are functioning correctly.
Test to make sure the Personal Alert Safety System (PASS) device is functioning. If not, ensure an External PASS is available.
Do not check the SCBA manual during inspection, it should be with the harness.
