Psoriasis is a chronic (long-lasting) inflammatory multisystem disorder of the skin caused by an overactive immune system that multiplies skin cells too quickly. Skin becomes scaly and irritated in patches, usually on the knees, elbows, or scalp, but it can also affect other parts of the body. Onset may start at any age. Psoriasis Vulgaris is the most common form, accounting for about 80-90% of cases. Raised, red patches/ plaques of skin covered with silvery-white scales. Can appear anywhere on the body but often occur on the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back

Often occurs in childhood or early adulthood. Small, drop-shaped lesions that appear suddenly on the trunk, limbs, and sometimes the scalp. Often triggered by bacterial infections, such as streptococcal throat infections.

Presence of pus-filled blisters on the skin. Usually appears on the hands or feet. Can be accompanied by fever, chills, severe itching, and diarrhea.
