Present Simple Affirmatives: Expressing Basic Facts and Habits
The present simple is used to talk about facts, habits, routines, actions that happen regularly, and general truths. It's formed by using the base form of the verb in the subject, without 'do' or 'does', and adding the third person singular '–s' after the root of verbs ending in -e, -x, or -z.
