Types of Social Influence:
- Compliance: Acting in accordance with others' expectations, regardless of personal agreement. Example: Obeying traffic laws/police.
- Identification: Behaving as those viewed positively (e.g., well-liked, famous, respected). Example: Buying a product endorsed by a famous person.
- Internalization: Accepting a belief/value set and practicing corresponding behaviors. Example: Changing behavior due to a commercial warning.
Social Structures: Status

Status: A relative rank/position in society. Can be ascribed (assigned at birth) or achieved (gained through actions).

- Difference: Status is occupied while a role is played. Status comes with an expected behavior - a role.
- Example: A woman becomes a mother (status) when she has a child, and her role is preparing meals, taking care of the children, showing love to them.
Leadership
- Definition: The power/ability of an individual to lead others.
