Creating a Story Report

  • Under the Home Menu
  • Select the type of report you want to create; Story
  • A data connection needs to be selected
  • You can then built a query using a drag and drop method

Adding Queries for Story Reports

  • In the Report Center, create or edit a Story
  • In the Available Data section, Browse module and expand the dataset.
  • Drag-and-drop on the query canvas to select a table
  • On the query canvas, click the table on which you want to build your query
  • Select columns for the query, click the table on the canvas Click Preview Query to preview the query

Query Filters

  • The query designer canvas allows you to find tables for applying simple filters
  • The filter icon allows you apply Simple Filters
  • Select a column for Simple Filters.
  • The Select Members dialog shows the values of the selected column
  • Select the values to include for the filter definition
  • To create a simple filter for the selected table, click OK

Apply Time Filters

  • To retrieve a data range or as particular date
  • Click a table, on the tap that appears, click the time filter
  • Select timeframe
  • Then select OK

Advanced Filters

  • You can filter data by defining conditions
  • Then set required conditions as needed

Calculated Columns for Stories.

  • Create new output columns and calculate its values at runtime based on an expression
  • Go to the Query Designer page
  • To open the Column Overview dialog box, choose Create Calculated Column
  • Choose Add on the Calculated Columns tab. The Calculated Columns dialogue box will appear
  • Enter a column ID and description
  • In the Edit Formula section, enter an expression using functions, conditions and operators;
  • Choose a Format to verify if the expression is correct

Scheduled Story Reports

  • You can schedule Story reports for offline execution, using the New Schedule
  • Choose the data to retrieve
  • Add users to send notifications
  • Determine how frequently data should be collected
  • To set an schedule, click Submit

Training Assessment and Evaluation Survey

  • As part of the training an assessment is required.
  • The assessment confirms learning by assessing understanding, and following up where support is required.
  • 80% pass rate is required with multiple attempts available.

Submitting Training Evaluation

  • Submitting an evaluation survey is required after completing the assessment.
  • It can be verified with with course completion for effectiveness of training.
  • Then submit, which will allow a certificate of completion to be printed.
