Organisation of the Signal & Telecommunication Department

The department is headed by Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer.
Heads of the Department (HODs) are assisted by a team of officers, including Deputy Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineers, Senior/Executive Signal and Telecommunication Engineers, and Assistant/Assistant Executive Signal and Telecommunication Engineers.

Construction Organisation/Project Organisation/RE Organisation

The expression "Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (Construction)" includes CSTE/Projects, CSTE/Works, CSTE/CORE, or any other post in Indian Railways in equivalent or higher grade (SAG/HAG).
The Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (Construction) provides necessary direction and control for the efficient and cost-effective execution of all works under their charge.
They shall maintain liaison with the Open Line Organisation and follow general policies and procedures laid down for the execution of works.

Divisional Officers

A Signal and Telecommunication Engineer of appropriate grade is in charge of the Signal and Telecommunication Branch on each Division.

Staff under SSE/JE Signal
