- This includes sourcing products from suppliers and transporting them to customers.

- Logistics manages the material flow (physical goods) & informational flow.
- It coordinates material & info flow across the supply chain, which is crucial for supply chain management.
- This process has strategic (long-term) and managerial (short/medium-term aspects).
