On-the-Job Training Program (OJTP)
- A 12-day training program for newly hired PPS PEP associates with probationary status.
- Designed to enhance their skills and competencies as Branch Assistants.
Objectives
- To acquire knowledge about the basic responsibilities of a Branch Assistant, including cashiering, bookkeeping, and program operations.
- To learn about the proper acceptance and disbursement of money to and from customers.
- To master the recording and tallying of daily branch transactions using BIR books of account and cash count notebooks.
- To identify different IDs accepted in PPS PEPP, including the Philippine National ID.
- To understand and explain the basic descriptions of PPS PEPP's products and services.
- To develop marketing skills and assist customers with inquiries using the SENTS process.
- To maintain proper grooming according to GM No. 99 S2019.
Weekly Tasks
- Week 1: Job description and key responsibilities, introduction to programs and bookkeeping, proper cash count and cash discrepancy prevention, GM No. 117 S2022 Annex 3 ID requirements with Phil ID, and safety procedures.
- Week 2: SENTS, associates' grooming and dress code policy, auxiliary products and services, Protektodo and PalawanPay (intro), marketing, actual cashiering, and final assessment.
Program Flow
- New employees receive the OJTP e-book during orientation and keep it safely in the branch.
- Training tasks begin on the first day in the branch.
- Trainees submit updates on the 1st and 6th day of their duty through provided links.
- Branch heads guide and mentor trainees using the OJTP checklist or syllabus provided by AHRCs.
- On the 9th day, trainees observe and participate as marketing team members for one day, targeting 2 sukicard, 2 protektodo (any policy), and 2 palawanpay sales.
- A final assessment with feedback is given on the 13th day.
- The OJTP assessment score is recorded in the Branch Assistant Training.
- Trainees receive a stub, which serves as proof of OJTP completion and is submitted to PPS Academy trainers.
Branch Head & Branch Operation Supervisor Responsibilities
- They provide remarks on the trainee's performance for 12 days on the OJTP stub.
- They provide soft copies of the stub for reprint purposes if needed.
- They collect the stub as proof of OJTP completion for documentation.
Reminders
- Each branch receives a copy of the OJTP checklist for branch heads and an e-book for trainees.
- Trainees receive a hard copy of the e-book for reference.
- Online updates are required on the 1st and 6th day of duty, and a final assessment through a link is conducted at the end of the program.
- Trainees receive a stub with branch head remarks as proof of successful completion.
- AHRCs provide the update links through group chats and define deadlines.
- Trainees bring the stub to the Branch Assistant Training and submit it to the trainer for documentation.
