Omaha Police Department Internal Affairs Investigations Policy

Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) Records and Access
- IAU records are confidential and kept in a secure area.
- Access is limited to personnel authorized by the POB Deputy Chief, Chief of Police, or their designee.
- Only employees assigned to the IAU or POB can copy or distribute IAU documents.
- Bureau Deputy Chiefs, authorized by the POB Deputy Chief, Chief of Police, or designee, can review IAU documents outside the IAU office.

IAU Investigation Timeframe
