    Wilm's Tumor

    • Wilm's tumor is the most common intra-abdominal and kidney tumor of childhood.
    • It is also known as "Nephroblastoma" or "Nephro" meaning kidney tumor.
    • It is a malignant tumor in the kidney that can eventually become cancerous.

    Stages of Wilm's Tumor

    • Stage 1: Tumor is resected without damaging the kidney.
    • Stage 2: Tumor extends beyond the kidney but is still resected, with no lymph node involvement.
    • Stage 3: Residual tumor is confined to the abdomen with lymph node involvement.
    • Stage 4: Tumor metastasizes to lungs, liver, bones, or distant nodules.
    • Stage 5: Tumor is present in both kidneys at diagnosis, with bilateral renal involvement.

    Therapeutic Management

    • Surgery: Nephrectomy
    • Radiation Therapy

    Nursing Management
