- Expands on the existing NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) which started in October 2019
- Includes three core elements:
- Clinical pathway consultations: A new element enabling pharmacists to provide care for specific conditions
- Urgent repeat medicine supply: Previously part of the CPCS, allowing pharmacists to provide urgent repeat prescriptions
- NHS referrals for minor illness: Also previously part of the CPCS, enabling pharmacists to refer patients to appropriate healthcare services for minor illnesses
