Filtering Data in Excel
- Begin by clicking any cell within the data set you wish to filter.
- Access the Data tab and locate the Sort & Filter group; click on the Filter option to enable filter functionality.
- Filter arrows will appear in the column headers for easy selection of criteria.
Filtering by Country
- Click the filter arrow adjacent to the "Country" header.
- To select specific countries, click on "Select All" to deselect all check boxes, then check the box next to "USA."
- After selecting, click "OK" to apply the filter, resulting in the display of only USA sales data.
Filtering by Quarter
- Next, click the arrow next to the "Quarter" header.
- Again, click "Select All" to clear all options, and then select the check box next to "Qtr 4."
