Placing Motor Trolley Outside Station Limits: A memo (duplicate) requesting line clearance is sent to the nearest Station Master, specifying the required clearing time. The receiving Station Master obtains clearance from the other end and provides the authority to proceed, along with the memo duplicate. The official in charge only places the motor trolley on the line after receiving authority and the duplicate memo.

Fixed Signals: The motor trolley's in-charge must obey all fixed signals.
