Shortcut Keys for Microsoft Word
- Ctrl + S is used to Save a file, preserving the current state of the document.
- Ctrl + T is used to Left Indent, moving the sentence to the right.
- Ctrl + U is used to Underline text, adding a line underneath the writing.
- Ctrl + V is used to Paste content, inserting previously copied text or images.
- Ctrl + W is used to Close the current Word document.
- Ctrl + X is used to Cut, removing selected text or images.
- Ctrl + Y is used to Repeat or Redo, reversing the last undo action.
- Ctrl + Z is used to Undo, reverting to the previous state of the document.
- Ctrl + Shift + > is used to Zoom In, increasing the font size.
- Ctrl + Shift + < is used to Zoom Out, decreasing the font size.
Save and Save As Functions
- Save: used to save the currently open and edited document.

CT Scan Machine

Imaging Process
- Creates an image by measuring the transmission of X-rays through a patient from multiple angles.
- A CT image is composed of a matrix of pixels representing the average linear attenuation coefficient in each volume element (voxel).
X-ray Beam
- Often referred to as a "fan beam" due to its small width along the longitudinal axis.
- In multi-slice or multi-detector CT scans, the X-ray beam is no longer narrow, and is often referred to as a "conical beam".
Contrast Media
- A chemical substance with a very high or very low atomic number or weight.
- Increases or decreases the density of the organ under examination.
