Media Transfer Study Guide
- Open the SD card slot on the camera and remove the SD card.
- Place the SD card upside down in the bottom left slot of the computer tower.
- Open File Explorer to select the SD card.
- Select the DCIM folder.
- Hold down CTRL while selecting .mov video clips to import.
- Right-click (or CTRL+C) to copy the clips.
- Create a project folder on the V Drive.
- Right-click (or CTRL+V) to paste video clips into the project folder.
- Copy video clips into the project folder.
- Navigate to the taskbar and click the carat in the bottom right.
- Click the USB icon and eject the SD card.
- Wait for the "Safe to Remove Hardware" message.
- Remove the SD card and place it back in the camera.
- Open Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Select "New Project."
- Name the new Premiere Pro file.
- Click "Browse" to save the file in the project folder on the V Drive.
- Click "Scratch Disk" to ensure Premiere sub-folders are saved to the same project folder.
- Open Premiere Pro, click the bottom-left project window, and press CTRL + I to import video clips.
- Select video clips from the project folder on the V Drive and click "Open."
- Once all clips have been imported, press CTRL + S to save the project.
