  • Cameroon became legally autonomous on March 13, 1959.
  • In terms of form, this text was made up of 52 Articles divided into 5 Parts
  • The text was intended to govern Cameroon's public finances from January 1, 1960 as indicated in Article 51
  • Ordinance No. 62/OF/4 on the financial regime of the Federal Republic
  • This was amended by Law No. 2002/001, then repealed by Law No. 2007/006
  • This broke from means logic in favor of performance-based budgets
  • Law No. 2018/012 on the financial regime of the State and other public entities replaced the 2007 Law
