  • Democratic Group Leaders: Are group-centered, trust group participants, serve as facilitators, cooperate and share responsibilities, and are humanistically and phenomenologically oriented
  • Laissez-faire Leaders: Do not provide structure or direction, creating a group-centered perspective of operation

Personal Qualities of Effective Group Leaders

  • Poise, Empathy, and Freedom from excessive anxiety are essential personal qualities
