Law Admission Test (LAT)
What is LAT?
- A standardized test for admission to LL.B programs in Pakistan
- Conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan
Purpose of LAT
- To assess the aptitude and knowledge of students seeking admission to law schools
- To ensure that students have a minimum level of knowledge and skills required for a law degree
LAT Test Format
- The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions
- Divided into three sections:
- English (30 questions): grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension
- General Knowledge (40 questions): current affairs, history, geography, and Islamic studies
- Analytical Reasoning (30 questions): logical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking
