Study Notes
Muscles of the Larynx
- Cricothyroid, thyroarytenoid, posterior cricoarytenoid, lateral cricoarytenoid, transverse and oblique arytenoids, and vocalis are muscles of the larynx.
The Cervical Plexus
- The cervical plexus is formed by the ventral primary rami of C1 to C4.
- It has both sensory and motor branches.
- The cervical plexus is located medially, along the sagittal line down the midline of the neck.
- It is subdivided into four triangles: carotid triangle, submental triangle, submandibular triangle, and muscular triangle.
Cerebral Hemispheres
- The cerebral hemispheres are the two lateral halves of the brain.
- A deep median cleft, the longitudinal cerebral fissure, incompletely separates the two cerebral hemispheres across the median plane.
Muscles of the Soft Palate
- Tensor veli palatini, levator veli palatini, palatoglossus, palatopharyngeus, and musculus uvulae are muscles of the soft palate.
Identify the different muscles of the larynx, including the cricothyroid, thyroarytenoid, and more. Test your knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
