The BJP-led NDA has secured an absolute majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by winning 292 seats.
BJP alone has emerged as the largest party by winning 240 seats.
The Lok Sabha has 543 members, but counting was held for 542 seats after the BJP's Surat candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed.
Prominent winners include Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Om Birla, and others.
Prominent losers include Ajay Kumar, Menka Gandhi, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and others.

Uttar Pradesh: SP won 37 seats, BJP won 33 seats, Congress won 6 seats, and others won 4 seats.
Bihar: BJP won 12 seats, JD(U) won 12 seats, Lok Janshakti Party won 5 seats, and others won 11 seats.
Delhi: BJP won all 7 seats.
Punjab: Congress won 7 seats, AAP won 3 seats, SAD won 1 seat, and Independent won 2 seats.
Other states: BJP won the majority of seats in most states, with some exceptions.

Odisha: BJP won 78 seats in the Assembly elections.
Andhra Pradesh: TDP won 135 seats in the Assembly elections.
Various States: BJP won 11 seats, Congress won 7 seats, SP won 2 seats, and others won 5 seats in the Assembly bye-elections.

Road Transport and Highways Ministry: The ministry has decided to conduct a comprehensive survey of 91,000 kilometers of national highways across India using advanced technology called Network Survey Vehicle (NSV).
The survey will help in implementing road safety measures and managing online maintenance, repair, and development of highways.
Bihar: The highways selected for NSV in Bihar include Gopalganj-Muzaffarpur, Mohania-Muzaffarpur, Motihari-Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur, and Ara-Mohania.

The Jeevika program is a World Bank-supported program aimed at socioeconomic empowerment of rural households in Bihar.
The program was initiated in 2006 under the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP) in 6 districts and 42 blocks of Bihar.
The program has been scaled up to all 38 districts of Bihar, replicating the lessons of BRLP in the entire state.
The program primarily focuses on women's development, empowerment, and alleviation of rural poverty.
In the financial year 2024-25, the state government of Bihar has entrusted banks with the task of providing a loan of INR 10,000 crore to beneficiaries under the Jeevika program.
