Dr. John Harvey Kellogg was a controversial figure in early 20th century America.

He is most famous for his creation of Corn Flakes, but he was also involved in a number of other projects, including inventing the electrotherapy exercise bed and a medical slapping-massage machine.

He was a supporter of abstinence from masturbation, sexual arousal and sexual intercourse, and believed that the human colon was in a 'desperately and depraved condition' due to parasites.

He was also against sex and his wife never consummated their marriage.

He was an ardent eugenicist and promoted purity of breeding.

Kellogg's apologized in 2017 when its Corn Pops box showed mostly yellow characters enjoying a shopping mall, with one brown character cleaning the floor.

The cereal's United States version, Coco Pops, first appeared in 1958 with a monkey named Jose as mascot.

After a series of changes, Coco the Monkey became mascot in 1991, but since 2001, Snap, Crackle and Pop have been the cereal's mascot.

Ms Onasanya became the first sitting MP in nearly thirty years to be jailed when she was convicted of lying to police about a speeding ticket.

In a passage, she recalled being ridiculed during her first breakfast behind bars.
