Luggage Handling and Security
- Always keep the luggage room closed and dry to prevent any damage or loss.
- Never leave guests alone in the luggage room to ensure their valuables are safe.
- Remind guests to keep their valuable items with them, such as jewellery, phone, wallet, camera, and iPad.
- Log down each luggage handling activity (Arrival, Departure, Stored, etc.) in the bell desk log book and on the errand card.
Unpacking Guest Luggage

- Inspect the outside of the luggage for any marks or dirt.
- Place luggage on a proper surface to avoid damage, using a luggage rack if possible.
- Ask for guest instructions before removing items from the luggage.
- Separate clean and dirty items, sending dirty items for laundering.
- Neatly fold and stack clothing and items, using:
- Drawers for casual clothes like jumpers, t-shirts, and underwear.
- Wardrobe for clothes like shirts, trousers, coats, suits, skirts, and gowns.
- Bottom of the wardrobe for shoes, separated in pairs, polished and those requiring attention, and stacked by color and occasion.
